Dobbin Planning Division
Tourism, Ecotourism, Recreation & Resort Master Planning

Dobbin Planning Group (through Dobbin International Inc) has prepared numerous national and regional tourism strategies including a national coastal tourism strategy for the Sultanate of Oman. Dobbin Planning Group is preparing a natural and cultural resources assessment of the five protected areas in the Egypt's South Sinai as part of the South Sinai Tourism Strategy.

Dobbin Planning Group as part of a team also prepared the coastal protection component of a tourism strategy for 4,000 km of the northern Great Lakes coastline that focused on ecotourism and finding ways of better implicating the Native Canadians in delivering ecotourism services.

As part of a broader GEF biodiversity project, James Dobbin has been leading a new approach to tourism of the Sabana-Camaguey Ecosystem region in Cuba. At a site-specific scale, we assist resort developers in preparing land and marine use zoning plans that ensure protection of key natural assets and provide opportunities to develop in the correct places in more sustainable manner. Almost all of Dobbin Planning Group's work in ICM and IRD planning involves the tourism sector.
